Jason Kravits and Dan DeLuca Will Star in The Producers at Ogunquit Playhouse

Ogunquit Playhouse has announced complete casting for its 25th-anniversary production of Mel Brooks’s The Producers, with a book by Thomas Meehan and Mel Brooks, and music and lyrics by Mel Brooks. Directed and choreographed by James Gray, the show runs August 27-September 26.

The production reunites members of the original Broadway cast and creative team while featuring William Ivey Long’s original Broadway costumes, restored exclusively for Ogunquit audiences. The Producers will star Jason Kravits as Max Bialystock, Dan DeLuca as Leo Bloom, with Stephanie Gibson as Ulla, John Rapson as Franz Liebkind, John Scherer as Roger DeBris, and Nathan Lee Graham as Carmen Ghia.

The cast also includes Delaney Bailey, Wendi Bergamini, Jim Borstelmann (original cast of The Producers), Colin Bradbury, Faith Jordan Candino, Jaclyn De Nicola, Adam Furgal, Connor Harman, Naomi Kakuk (original cast of The Producers), Jalen Kirkman, Liesl Landegger, J. Elaine Marcos, Steven Mooney, Kaylee Olson, Tyler Pirrung, Sam Sanderson, and Gabriella Scarpace.

Susan Stroman’s Tony Award-winning direction and choreography has been re-created by James Gray, with assistant direction and choreography by Angie Schworer, music supervision by Jesse Kissel, and music direction by Brian Whitted.

The production also includes scenic design by Eric Luchen, lighting design by Richard Latta, sound design by Kevin Heard, and wig/hair and make-up design by Roxanne De Luna.
