Jason Danieley Replaces Darren Pettie in Williamstown's An American Daughter

Evan Cabnet directs the play by Wendy Wasserstein.

Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced that Broadway's Jason Danieley (The Visit) will replace the previously announced Darren Pettie in this summer’s production of Wendy Wasserstein’s An American Daughter. Evan Cabnet (Gloria) directs the play on the Williamstown Theatre Festival Main Stage from August 3-21.

In addition, as previously announced, Diane Davis replaces Kate Walsh, and Kerry Bishe replaces Grace Gummer.

Wendy Wasserstein's 1997 drama follows a prominent doctor nominated by the President to the position of Surgeon General, and the scandal that threatens her confirmation.

In addition to Danieley, Davis, and Bishe, the cast will feature Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Stephen Kunken, Roe Hartrampf, Carson Meyer, Richard Poe, Will Pullen, and Deborah Rush.
