Diane Davis and Kerry Bishe Join Williamstown Theatre Festival's An American Daughter

Kate Walsh and Grace Gummer have exited the production of Wendy Wasserstein’s play.

Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced a casting update for the 2016 production of Wendy Wasserstein’s An American Daughter. Due to scheduling conflicts, Diane Davis will replace the previously announced Kate Walsh, and Kerry Bishe will replace the previously announced Grace Gummer. An American Daughter plays on the Williamstown Theatre Festival Main Stage from August 3-21. Evan Cabnet (Gloria) directs.

Wendy Wasserstein's 1997 drama follows a prominent doctor nominated by the President to the position of Surgeon General, and the scandal that threatens her confirmation.

In addition to Davis and Bishe, the cast will feature Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Stephen Kunken, Roe Hartrampf, Stephen Kunken, Carson Meyer, Darren Pettie, Richard Poe, Will Pullen, and Deborah Rush.
