A host of award winners gather for honor the Pulitzer Prize winner’s latest drama.

Two-time Tony Award winner LuPone (Gypsy) and Oscar nominee Debra Winger (An Officer and a Gentleman) star in this 70-minute, two-character work, which centers on Cathy (LuPone), a former revolutionary, who has been sentenced to life in prison, and Ann (Winger), the official who has the power to grant her release.

Opening night guests included Tony Award winners Elizabeth Ashley (August:Osage County), John Cullum (Scottsboro Boys), James Earl Jones (Gore Vidal’s The Best Man), Tommy Tune (My One and Only),and Tony nominees Marin Ireland (Reasons To Be Pretty), Pam MacKinnon (Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?), Emmy Award winner Richard Thomas (An Enemy of the People), and actors Hamish Linklater (Twelfth Night), Josh Lucas (The Glass Menagerie), Justin Guarini (Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), Cecilia Hart (Othello), and Sami Gayle (Gypsy), and directors Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher) and Michael Wilson (Dividing The Estate).

Also on hand were Mamet’s wife, actress Rebecca Pidgeon (Oleanna), his daughter, actress Zosia Mamet (Girls), and Mamet’s longtime colleagues, Atlantic Theater artistic director Neil Pepe and his wife, actress Mary McCann (Harper Regan).
