J. Elaine Marcos, Brynn O’Malley, Clarke Thorell Join Broadway Revival of Annie

Brynn O’Malley will play Grace Farrell, Clarke Thorell will play Rooster Hannigan, and J. Elaine Marcos will play Lily St. Regis in the upcoming Broadway revival of Annie, which will begin previews at the Palace Theater on October 3, with an official opening on November 8. James Lapine will direct the production, which will have choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler.

Annie features music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and book by Thomas Meehan, and is based on Harold Gray’s “Little Orphan Annie” comics. The score includes “Maybe,” “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile,” “Easy Street,” “I Don’t Need Anything But You” and “Tomorrow.”

Two-time Tony Award winner Katie Finneran will play Miss Hannigan; Australian stage star Anthony Warlow will play Daddy Warbucks; and Lilla Crawford will star as Annie.


The production will also feature Madi Rae DiPietro as July, Georgi James as Pepper, Junah Jang as Tessie, Tyrah Skye Odoms as Kate, Taylor Richardson as Duffy, Emily Rosenfeld as Molly, as well as Ashley Blanchet, Jane Blass, Jeremy Davis, Merwin Foard, Joel Hatch, Ryan Kasprzak, Amanda Lea LaVergne, Gavin Lodge, Liz McCartney, Desi Oakley, David Rossetti, Sarah Solie, Dennis Stowe and Ryan VanDenBoom. Jaidyn Young will be the standby for the roles of Annie, Pepper, Duffy and July.,

The production will feature scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Susan Hilferty, lighting design by Donald Holder and sound design by Brian Ronan. Music director is Todd Ellison. Hair and wig design is by Tom Watson. Animal training is by Tony Award-winner William Berloni.
