Irondale Ensemble Announces 2011-2012 Season

The Irondale Ensemble has announced its 2011-2012 season, which will be the company’s fourth in their home at the Irondale Center in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

The season will open the unique, interactive restaurant/theater experience Connie’s Diner (September 15 – 25), and continue with PigPen Theatre Company’s The Nightmare Story (October 5-28), Walter Thompson Orchestra in a unique soundpainting piece (November 3-5), Irondale Ensemble’s production of Henry V (November), and Vidas Perfectas, by Robert Ashley, directed by Alex Waterman (December 14-17).

The new year will begin with FlicFest II, the second annual Festival of Full Length Independent Choreography (January 19-28), and also feature Strike Anywhere and Irondale’s Same River (February 29 – March 3), Karen Malpede’s Another Life starring George Bartenieff (March 8-24), Irondale Ensemble’s In Pursuit of Freedom (April 26 – May 26), and Empirical Rogue Theater’s Romeo and Juliet (June-July).
