Immersive Solo Show Big Feelings Announces a Return Engagement

Big Feelings, a one-person play by Ryan Drake and directed by Sammy Zeisel, will return off-Broadway September 13-October 9 at the Cell Theatre’s Gallery Space, following its sold-out run earlier this summer.

Julia Greer plays Ms. Joy on her last day teaching you in first grade and she wants to tell you something that hurt her feelings. Set inside a classroom, Big Feelings places audiences directly in the room with Ms. Joy for an audience-integrated experience. Capacity is limited to 20 seats per performance.

The production features scenic design by Silin Chen, lighting design by Finn Bamber, and sound design by Joyce Ciesil.

Hayley Levitt wrote in a review for TheaterMania, “Greer is the reason this wild concept works. She is completely committed to the bit, weaving between drama and dark comedy (if there’s even a distinction here) and performing Ms. Joy’s utter unraveling with a perilous amount of eye contact.”
