Tony Award winner Hal Linden will star in the Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company’s presentation of Tuesdays with Morrie, to play Toronto’s Winter Garden Theatre, May 8-30. Ted Dykstra will direct.
The play is based on the best-selling memoir of the same name by Mitch Albom, and has been adapted by Albom and Jeffrey Hatcher for the stage. Rick Roberts will co-star as a newspaper columnist who recounts his time spent with a former professor, Morrie Schwartz (Linden).
Linden won his Tony for The Rothschilds, and additional Broadway appearances include The Gathering, Cabaret, I’m Not Rappaport, The Pajama Game, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, and Bells Are Ringing. He is best known for his Emmy-nominated role in the television comedy series Barney Miller.
