James Lloyd Reynolds and Jamison Stern will star in the Harvey Fierstein-Jerry Herman musical.
Goodspeed Musicals has announced plans to present Harvey Fierstein and Jerry Herman's musical La Cage aux Folles, beginning June 26 at the Goodspeed Opera House. The production will have an official press opening on July 15. Rob Ruggiero will direct, with Michael O’Flaherty serving as music director.
The cast will feature James Lloyd Reynolds as Georges, Jamison Stern as Albin, Conor Ryan as Jean-Michel, Kristen Martin as Anna, Cedric Leiba Jr. as Jacob, Stacey Scotte as Marie Dindon, Mark Zimmerman as Edouard, Sue Mathys as Jacqueline, and Chris Hietikko as Monsieur Renaud.
The show’s ensemble includes Darius Barnes, Michael Bullard, Alexander Cruz, and Wade Dooley, Barbara McCulloh, Erin M. Kernion, Alex Ringler, Nick Silverio, Nic Thompson, Brett-Marco Glauser, and Emily Grace Tucker.
La Cage aux Folles is the tale of a family of cabaret performers led by partners Georges and Albin. When their son brings home his fiancée and the future in-laws, the limits of love are put to the test.
Michael Schweikardt will serve as scenic designer, costumes will be designed by Michael McDonald, and lighting design will be by John Lasiter.
