Stage and television star Gilles Marini will guest star on the upcoming season of ABC’s Modern Family according to TVLine.com
The site reports that Marini will guest star as Julian, a friend of a friend of Cameron and Mitchell (played by Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson) whom they mistakenly assume is gay.
Marini recently appeared in the Center Theatre Group’s production of This and has appeared on stage in Ballroom With a Twist. His many film and television credits include Brothers & Sisters, Dancing With the Stars, Castle, Switched at Birth, and Sex and the City.
Modern Family, which begins its new season on Wednesday, September 21, won the 2011 Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series. The show also stars Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Ed O’Neill, and Sofia Vergara.
