Full Cast, Creative Team Set for Clubbed Thumb’s Summerworks 2008

Full cast and creative team information has been announced for Clubbed Thumb’s annual festival, Summerworks 2008, to play The Ohio Theatre, June 4-28.

The festival will kick off a raucous opening night celebration entitled Constitutional Convention (June 4), in which teams of artists will propose new legislation that you will have the chance to vote on…or veto.

Up next will be Ann Marie Healy’s Gentleman Caller (June 8-14), which will be directed by Brooke O’Harra. The show, about three women during wartime, will feature Hannah Cabell, Beth Hoyt, Meg MacCary, and Hubert Point-Du Jour. The creative team will include Peter Ksander (production design), Tara Webb (costumes), and Ian Antonio and Russell Greenberg (sound).

Vendetta Chrome (June 15-21), by Sally Oswald, involves a late bloomer at a Victorian girls’ school who must save her school, her family, and herself. The show be directed by Alexis Poledouris and feature Tracee Chimo, Lisa Rafaella Clair, Ginger Eckert, Rebecca Hart, Caroline Tamas, Ariana Venturi, Sam Breslin Wright, and Jenny Seastone Stern. The creative team will include Jason Simms (sets), Gina Scherr (lighting), Jessica Pabst (costumes), and Tracy Bersley (choreography).

Spencer Scott Barros, Glenn Cruz, Amanda Duarte, Tim Frank, Hasani Issa, Jocelyn Kuritsky, Edward Nattenberg, Maria-Christina Oliveras, Gita Reddy, Paco Tolson will star in the last play, Slavey (June 22-28), by Sigrid Gilmer, to be directed by Robert O’Hara. Set in a not so distant future, the work focuses on Nora and Robert, who find themselves climbing the steep social ladder of the super rich: big promotion, bigger house, and a brand new slave. The creative team will feature Caleb Levengood (sets), Raquel Davis (lighting), Clint Ramos (costumes), and Daniel Odham (sound).
