The Rising Phoenix Repertory will be hosting a book reading and subsequent signing of their new piece, Cino Nights on Thursday, June 28 at 6pm at the Drama Book Shop. This event is free and open to the public at large on a first come, first serve basis.
Inspired by Joe Cino and his Caffe Cino, one of the originial birthplaces of Off-Off-Broadway, Cino Nights consists of pieces by playwrights Mando Alvarado, Courtney Baron, Jessica Dickey, Emily DeVoti, Kristen Palmer, Gary Sunshine, Adam Szymkowicz, and Lucy Thurber. The book is published by The New York Theater Experience and edited by Addie Johnson and Daniel Talbott, the latter of whom also serves as Aristic Director for the Rising Phoenix Rep. In addition, the book includes a foreward written by Todd London.
