Producers Eva Price and Sucker Love Productions have announced that Broadway veteran and TV personality Frankie J. Grande will join the cast of Cruel Intentions, the new musical nightlife experience based on Roger Kumble’s 1999 cult-hit film, now playing at (le) Poisson Rouge. Grande will replace Alex Boniello in the role of Blaine Tuttle beginning March 18.

Widely recognized for his time as a contestant on Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother UK, Grande made his Broadway debut in Mamma Mia! and was most recently seen as Franz in the Tony-nominated musical Rock of Ages. Grande has served as cohost of Amazon’s fashion program Style Code Live, Access Hollywood Live, and the American Music Awards’ red carpet coverage for Entertainment Tonight. He was recently seen in Nickelodeon’s Henry Danger, and in 2015 had his own television special Worst.Post.Ever with Frankie Grande (Oxygen Network).

Created by Jordan Ross, Lindsey Rosin, and Roger Kumble, Cruel Intentions is a modern-day telling of the classic 1782 French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. Set to some of the greatest pop and rock hits of the 1990s and songs from the film's iconic soundtrack, the musical features immersive stage direction by Lindsey Rosin and choreography by Jennifer Weber, with music direction and arrangements by Zach Spound, costumes styled by Tilly Grimes, sound by Robert Bradley, lighting by Daniel Kent, and props by Carolyn Mraz.

Grande will join a cast that currently stars Lauren Zakrin as Kathryn, Constantine Rousouli as Sebastian, Carrie St. Louis as Annette, Jessie Shelton as Cecile, Brian Muller as Greg, Matthew Griffin as Ronald, and Jenn Harris as Mrs. Bunny Caldwell. Beginning March 10, Emma Hunton will take over the role of Cecile.
