Flashback Friday: Dolly Parton's Christmas Classic From The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas

As announced this past August, the Carol Hall-Larry L. King-Peter Masterson musical The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas is headed back to Broadway in 2015. One of the most popular songs from that show is "Hard Candy Christmas," a bittersweet tune that showcases the survival spirit of a group women who are being thrown out of their home (which, incidentally, is a brothel). While not expressly a Christmas song, it took on the yuletide spirit when Dolly Parton, who starred in the film version of Whorehouse, released it as a single in 1982.
