Wittrock will return to Broadway this spring in ”The Glass Menagerie”.
Shakespeare & Company will present a staged reading of William Shakespeare's Hamlet on Saturday, October 8, featuring Finn Wittrock in the title role. The reading will be presented in the Tina Packer Playhouse, and will be directed by Kevin G. Coleman, Shakespeare & Company's director of education.
Wittrock was last seen on Broadway as Happy in the 2012 revival of Death of a Salesman and will return to the stage this spring in The Glass Menagerie, starring Sally Field. On-screen, Wittrock was recently seen in the Oscar-nominated film The Big Short and has been a part of the FX series American Horror Story for the last two seasons, nominated for an Emmy for his season 4 portrayal of Dandy Mott. He will also appear with Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling in the upcoming film La La Land, to be released in December.
Also set to perform in the reading are Jonathan Epstein (Claudius), Elizabeth Aspenlieder (Gertrude), Malcolm Ingram (Polonius), Rory Hammond (Guildenstern), Dylan Wittrock (Rosencrantz), and Kate Abbruzzese (Ophelia), along with Caroline Calkins and David Joseph, among others.
