F. Murray Abraham, Austin Pendleton, and More Set for Lower East Side Festival

Theater for the New City presents the 23rd annual festival of free cultural events over Memorial Day weekend.

Theater for the New City has announced that the 23rd annual Lower East Side Festival will take place over Memorial Day weekend, May 25-27, 6pm-1am. The festival will feature theater, music, art, dance, video, film, aerial arts, poetry, magic, and comedy with over 190 performances over the course of the weekend.

F. Murray Abraham, Austin Pendleton, Tony Award winner Mario Fratti, Reno, Penny Arcade, K.T. Sullivan, and many more will be among the featured performers and artists at the festival. La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club, National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene, 13th Street Repertory Company, the Cell, and many more will be among the performing arts companies featured.

Theater for the New City created the Lower East Side Festival in 1995 and has presented nearly 1,000 artists and their works.
