Whoopi Goldberg will host The Lily Sarah Grace Fund’s Summer Solstice Evening, to be presented at the New Victory Theater on Thursday, June 21 at 7pm.
The event will celebrate the spirit of Lily, Sarah and Grace, three sisters who were killed in a tragic house fire on Christmas Day 2011, by honoring the fund’s mission of supporting arts-enriched education for public schools.
The benefit show will feature monologues by Philip Seymour Hoffman, Eric Bogosian, and Julianne Moore, delivered in tribute to the memory of each of the girls.
The evening will also include tribute performances of music and dance from New York’s PS3 (where Sarah and Grace were students), Julliard, and the Ballet Tech school performing a new piece of choreography by Eliot Feld. Sir Ken Robinson, a key advocate of education, will speak about the need for education enrichment and the mission of the Lily Sarah Grace (LSG) Fund.
All proceeds will go to the LSG Fund to provide money for the classrooms of underfunded public elementary schools.
