Tracy Letts’s August: Osage County will receive its first West End revival in 2027.

Lesley Manville and Anna Maxwell Martin will head the company as Violet Weston and Barbara Fordham. The production will be directed by Jeremy HErrin.

The play centers on the Weston family of Oklahoma, who reunite at their home following the disappearance of their patriarch. The dark comedy won the Tony for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Manville, who recently won a Tony for starring in Oedipus on Broadway, said today“I’m delighted to be taking on August: Osage County with Jeremy Herrin directing. It’s an epic piece of American literature written by the truly great Tracy Letts. It has not been seen in London for almost 20 years, so I cannot wait to bring this complex, funny, tragic, ultimate family saga to the West End and create the matriarch, Violet Weston.

The production is set to open in the West End at the Noël Coward Theatre, running January 18-April 10.
