Ella, the biomusical starring Tina Fabrique as legendary singer Ella Fitzgerald, will play the Laguna Playhouse, February 17-March 22. The production, which is directed by Rob Ruggiero, features nearly two dozen songs including, “Cheek to Cheek,” “That Old Black Magic,” and “How High the Moon.”
Fabrique’s credits include Ragtime, Bring in ‘Da Noise, Bring in ‘Da Funk, and The Women of Brewster Place. She recently received a Kevin Kline Award nomination for her performance in the show, which has toured the United States.
