Eileen Atkins and Michael Gambon will star in All That Fall, a 1957 radio play by Samuel Beckett, to run at the Jermyn Street Theatre, October 9-November 3. Tony Award winner Trevor Nunn will direct the production.
The piece charts the journey of old and unwieldy Mrs Rooney as she drags herself towards a railway station on a Saturday lunchtime to meet her blind husband on his way back from the office to guide him home.
Atkins is a four-time Tony Award nominee for The Retreat From Moscow, Indiscretions, Vivat, Vivat, Regina!, and The Killing of Sister George. Her many stage credits include Doubt, The re Came A Gypsy Riding, The Sea, A Room of One’s Own, Vita & Virginia and The Unexpected Man.
Gambon’s numerous theatrical credits include No Man’s Land, Krapp’s Last Tape and Skylight. He is well known for his work in the Harry Potter series of films.
