Steppenwolf Theatre Company has announced complete casting for the Chicago premiere of Between Riverside and Crazy. The production will run June 23-August 21 in the Downstairs Theatre with an opening night on July 10. Ensemble member Yasen Peyankov directs.

The 2015 Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Stephen Adly Guirgis is described as a "rowdy dark comedy." The story follows ex-cop "Pops" Washington and his ex-con son Junior, who are barely holding on to one of the last great rent-stabilized apartments in Manhattan.

The cast features Eamonn Walker as Pops and ensemble member James Vincent Meredith as Junior, with ensemble member Tim Hopper as Lieutenant Caro, Audrey Francis as Detective O’Connor, Victor Almanzar as Oswaldo, Elena Flores as Lulu, and Lily Mojekwu as Church Lady.

The production team includes Collette Pollard (scenic design), Natasha Dukich (costume design), Scott Zielinski (lighting design), and Josh Schmidt (sound design and original music).
