The stars of Doctor Zhivago, Tam Mutu and Kelli Barrett, along with creative team members Lucy Simon and Des McAnuff, will take part in a 92Y discussion of the new musical, set to take place May 3 at 7:30pm. The evening will be moderated by Howard Sherman, former president of the American Theatre Wing.

Doctor Zhivago is adapted from Boris Pasternak's novel of the same title, with book by Michael Weller, music by Lucy Simon, and lyrics by Michael Korie and Amy Powers. Set amid World War I and the Russian Revolution, the musical tells the story of a political idealist who must choose between his devoted wife and his mysterious lover while competing for the latter's affection with revolutionaries and aristocrats to win her heart.

Doctor Zhivago began performances on March 27 at the Broadway Theatre, where it will celebrate its opening night on April 21. Mutu and Barrett take on the romantic leading roles of Yurii Zhivago and Lara Guishar in the musical, alongside Tom Hewitt, Paul Nolan, and Lora Lee Gayer. McAnuff directs the new musical.
