The Tony-winning Broadway revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch welcomed the Broadway press corps on October 29 to document Michael C. Hall's curtain call at the Belasco Theatre. Hall takes on the title role in the musical, which he began performing on October 16 opposite 2014 Tony winner Lena Hall as Yitzhak. Mr. Hall appears in the production, directed by Michael Mayer, until January 4.
Featuring a book by John Cameron Mitchell and a score by Stephen Trask, the musical opened April 22 with Neil Patrick Harris in the title role. Harris, who won a Tony and a Drama Desk for his performance, was replaced as the German "internationally ignored" punk rocker by Andrew Rannells on August 20. The production utilizes a band made up of Justin Craig (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Matt Duncan (bass, vocals), Tim Mislock (guitar, vocals), and Peter Yanowitz (drums, vocals).
