The North American tour of Dear Evan Hansen has recouped its investment after only 12 weeks on the road.

The tour, which kicked off September 25 and is currently playing at Seattle's Paramount Theatre, has shattered box office records at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, had the highest-grossing week in the history of San Francisco's Curran, and sold out all available inventory in presales during a single day in Tempe, Arizona. The touring production will continue over the next two years.

Leading the tour is Ben Levi Ross as Evan Hansen. He is joined by Jessica Phillips as Heidi Hansen, Tony Award nominee Christiane Noll as Cynthia Murphy, Aaron Lazar as Larry Murphy, Marrick Smith as Connor Murphy, Maggie McKenna as Zoe Murphy, Jared Goldsmith as Jared Kleinman, and Phoebe Koyabe as Alana Beck. Stephen Christopher Anthony will be the Evan alternate, and Noah Kieserman, Ciara Alyse Harris, John Hemphill, Jane Pfitsch, Coleen Sexton, and Maria Wirries will be the understudies.

With a Tony-winning score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and a Tony-winning book by Steven Levenson, Dear Evan Hansen is described as follows: "A letter that was never meant to be seen, a lie that was never meant to be told, a life he never dreamed he could have. Evan Hansen is about to get the one thing he's always wanted: a chance to finally fit in." Michael Greif directs.
