Samantha Massell, Melanie Moore, Adam Kantor, and more were also on hand to celebrate the show’s new cast album.
The stars of Broadway's Fiddler on the Roof celebrated the show's new cast recording with a concert and an album signing at the East 86th Street Barnes and Noble on Friday, March 18.
Danny Burstein, who leads the company as Tevye, legendary lyricist Sheldon Harnick, musical director Ted Sperling, and cast members Alexandra Silber, Samantha Massell, Melanie Moore, Adam Kantor, Ben Rappaport, Nick Rehberger, Alix Korey, and Adam Danheisser were on hand to sign CDs.
The Broadway Records release includes bonus tracks of cast members Adam Kantor and Alexandra Silber performing the cut song "Dear Sweet Sewing Machine," along with violinist Itzhak Perlman debuting "Excerpts From Fiddler on the Roof," arranged by iconic composer John Williams.
The album, produced by David Lai, Ted Sperling, and Louise Gund, had its worldwide release on March 18.
Featuring a book by Joseph Stein and a score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, Fiddler on the Roof is inspired by Sholom Alecheim's stories of the milkman Tevye, who tries to hold on to "tradition" as the world around him and his family in the little village of Anatevka changes.
This Broadway production, directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher (The King and I), is the show's sixth since its record-breaking debut in 1964.
