Melanie Field will be playing Mary, taking over from the previously announced Awa Sal Secka.

Signature Theatre announced the cast and creative team for Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along, based on the original play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart and featuring a book by George Furth. Directed and choreographed by Signature Theatre artistic director Matthew Gardiner, with music direction by Jon Kalbfleisch, the production runs August 25–November 1 in Signature’s MAX Theatre.
As previously announced, Merrily We Roll Along stars Jason Gotay as Franklin Shepard and Jake Loewenthal as Charley Kringas. Melanie Field will play Mary Flynn, taking over for the previously announced Awa Sal Secka, who will now be making her Broadway debut in Wanted this fall.
The cast is rounded out by Kerstin Anderson as Beth Spencer, Maria Rizzo as Gussie Carneige, James Whalen as Joe Josephson, and Neal Gaensehals as Frank Jr.
The ensemble includes Joel Ashur as Jerome, Ben Beckley as Terry/Mr. Spencer, Lindsay Nicole Chambers as Scotty/Mrs. Spencer, Eric Easter as Ru, Jonah Ho’okano as Tyler, Stephen Russell Murray as Bunker, Beatrice Owens as Dory, Sarah Anne Sillers as KT, and Alondra Trinidad-Colon as Meg. Austin Anderson, Kimberly Camacho, Sophia Early, and Max von Kolnitz are swings. Henry Hampton Bedford is an understudy.
The creative team includes scenic designer Wilson Chin, costume designer Ivania Stack, lighting designer Cory Pattak, sound designer Eric Norris, wig and hair designer Anne Nesmith, and fight choreographer Casey Kaleba.
