Daniel Sunjata and Piper Perabo to Star in New ABC TV Legal Pilot

Stage vets Piper Perabo (Lost Girls), Daniel Sunjata (Take Me Out), and Kate Jennings Grant (Noises Off) will lead the cast of Notorious, a new legal drama from ABC television.

The potential series is based on the lives of criminal defense lawyer Mark Geragos and Wendy Walker, a producer for Larry King Live. Perabo will play Walker's stand-in, TV news producer Julia George, with Sunjata as sexy defense attorney Jake Gregorian. The company will also include Aimee Teegarden (Friday Night Lights) and J. August Richards.

Grant and Sunjata starred together in Manhattan Theatre Club's 2014 production of Donald Margulies' The Country House.

Notorious is written by Josh Berman and Allie Hagan, with Berman, Geragos, Walker, Kenny Meiselas, Jeff Kwatinetz, and Josh Barry serving as executive producers. Sony TV and ABC Studios will produce the series.
