Grammy Award-winning children’s music artists Dan Zanes and Friends’ will officially release their new gospel-inspired CD The Welcome Table: Sons of Inspiration, Mystery, & Good Times (Festival Five Records) on Tuesday, February 10 . A portion of the proceeds will benefit The New Sanctuary Movement.
The CD, which is currently available on Amazon and iTunes, features guest appearances by Broadway star Rebecca Naomi Jones, as well as the Blind Boys of Alabama, Alfredo Villela, Basya Schechter, and Rob Friedman.
The group, which also includes Colin Brooks, Sonia De Los Santos, John Foti, Saskia Sunshine Lane, and Elena Moon Park, will begin an international tour on February 28 at the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, New Jersey. The tour will play such cities as Gainesville, Los Angeles, Columbus, Barcelona, London, Boulder, and Chicago, before concluding on June 13 and 14 at Sesame Place in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
Zanes won the Grammy for the CD, Catch That Train. He has also released a live DVD, All Around the Kitchen, and his songs are played daily on the Disney Channel’s Playhouse Disney.
