Preliminary casting has been announced for Classic Stage Company’s Monday Night Othello, a four-week series of readings in which different performers will showcase their interpretations of Othello and Iago in Shakespeare’s play. All performances will take place Mondays at 8pm.
The series kicks off on January 19 with Michael Cumpsty reading Iago under the direction of Michael Sexton; Alan Cumming will read Iago on January 26 and February 2, opposite Michael Potts and John Turturro, respectively, under the direction of Brian Kulick. No casting has been announced for the February 9 reading, to be directed by Barry Edelstein.
