Cast and creative team information has been announced for the Contra Costa Musical Theatre production of Evita, set to play at the Lesher Center for the Arts, March 27-April 26. Kevin T. Morales will direct.
Written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, the musical is the story of Eva Peron, a poor Argentine girl who grew up to be one of the most worshiped and celebrated women in history. The cast will star Mindy Lym as Eva Peron, Alex Rodriguez as Che, John Hetzler as Juan Peron, Derek Silva as Agustin Magaldi, and Courtney Iventosch as Mistress.
The ensemble will feature Carolyn August, Marisa Barley, Ben Bogen, Alyssa Bond, Alana Buschini, Ryan Card, Jim Coniglio, Jody Cook, Dax Craven, Mark Eichorn, Joan Evans, Kathy Ferber, Jeffrey Holmes, Peggy Huff-Stratton, Ji Kim, Stephanie Lacambra, Devon LaRussa, Josephine Leffner, Felecia Lilienthal, J. Ted Martin, Gilbert Michael, Ryan Muelpolder, Alex Murphy, Marty Newton, Steph Peek, Steven Sloan, J. Scott Stewart, Sara Sweet, Dustin Riggs, James Roberts, Indy Tan, Jenny West, and Diella Wottrich. This production will also feature several children, including Arabelle Adler, Sydney Babiak, Kyle Frattini, Jane Kennedy, and Kristina Schoel.
The creative team will include Suzanne Brandt (choreographer), Marianna Ford (costume design), and Kelly Tighe (set design).
