The Coastal Cohorts will bring their musical King Mackerel & the Blues Are Running: Songs & Stories of the Carolina Coast to the West Bank Café's Laurie Beechman Theatre on Friday, May 18, and Saturday, May 19, at 7pm.

All three members of the Coastal Cohorts — Don Dixon, Bland Simpson, and Pump Boys & Dinettes principal author, composer, and lyricist Jim Wann — authored the show. They will perform the musical at these concerts.

Previously, the band has performed King Mackerel across North Carolina, Virginia, and everywhere from the lighthouse at Tybee Island, Georgia, to the Martha's Vineyard Playhouse, including a summer run at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
