Claire Danes and Jim Parsons to Star in Film Adaptation of Play A Kid Like Jake

Emmy winners Claire Danes and Jim Parsons will star in an upcoming film version of Daniel Pearle's play A Kid Like Jake, according to Variety.

Danes and Parsons will play a couple who are applying to preschools for their 4-year-old son, who has gender-identity issues. Silas Howard (Transparent) will direct a screenplay Pearle adapted.

A Kid Like Jake premiered at LCT3 in 2013. Directed by Evan Cabnet, the production starred Carla Gugino, Caroline Aaron, Michelle Beck, and Peter Grosz.
