Charlie Rosen’s Broadway Big Band will return to 54 Below on May 18. The 9:30pm concert is directed by Max Friedman, who coproduces with musical director and bandleader Charlie Rosen.

The evening reimagines classic showtunes for a full-size jazz orchestra of 17 musicians, sung by Broadway stars and Tony nominees. The cast list for the upcoming concert includes Bryce Pinkham (The Heidi Chronicles), Janet Krupin (If/Then), Ciara Renée (The Hunchback of Notre Dame), Nick Blaemire (Found), Daniel Breaker (The Book of Mormon), Jason Gotay (Peter Pan LIVE!), and Julia Mattison (Godspell). Additional performers will be announced.

Rosen is a 2015 Drama Desk Award nominee for his contributions to the orchestrations of Jason Robert Brown's Honeymoon in Vegas score, and is currently in the orchestra of Kander and Ebb's The Visit. He has previously worked on the Broadway productions of Cyrano de Bergerac, One Man, Two Guvnors, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, and 13.
