Christine Lahti will join the cast of the long-running NBC hit Law & Order: SVU for four episodes next season as an assistant district attorney, according to TVGuide.com.
The series, which returns on September 23, stars Mariska Hargitay, Christopher Meloni, Richard Belzer, Ice-T, BD Wong, Tamara Tunie, and Dann Florek. According to the website, actress Stephanie March will also return for 10 episodes as ADA Alexandra Cabot.
Lahti’s stage credits include The Heidi Chronicles, The Exonerated, Third, and A Body of Water. She won an Emmy Award for her work on the CBS-TV series Chicago Hope and starred on the series Jack and Bobby. She won an Oscar for directing the short film Lieberman in Love and received an Oscar nomination for acting in the film Swing Shift.
