Christine Ebersole to Join Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street

Two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole has been cast in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming film The Wolf of Wall Street, according to published reports.

She will play the mother of the lead character, Jonah Belfort (to played by Leonardo DiCaprio), a New York stockbroker who served 20 months in prison for refusing to cooperate in a massive 1990s securities fraud case that involved widespread corruption on Wall Street and in the corporate banking world.

The cast also includes Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey, Jon Favreau, Kyle Chandler, Jon Bernthal, and Cristin Milioti.

Ebersole received Tony Awards for her work in Grey Gardens and 42nd Street, and her many other Broadway credits include The Best Man, Steel Magnolias, and Blithe Spirit. She currently stars on the TBS comedy Sullivan & Son.
