The Public Theater has announced the lineup for its fall 2015 Public Forum series under the direction of Jeremy McCarter.

The series kicks off its sixth season with a reading of Clifford Odets' labor-themed drama Waiting for Lefty on September 21 at 7pm in Joe's Pub. The cast of the work, which follows a group of cab drivers on the eve of a strike, will include Public Theater artistic director Oskar Eustis, El Teatro Campesino founder Luis Valdez, noted labor lawyer Tom Geoghegan, author and New Yorker contributor George Packer, and actors Adam Green and Miriam Silverman, among others.

Next up, on October 5 at 7pm, is a reading of Lorca in New York, a work celebrating Federico García Lorca's love of New York City, adapted by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz. The cast includes Saeed Jones, author of the PEN/Joyce Osterwell Award-winning poetry collection Prelude to Bruise, and others to be announced.

The November 16 edition will explore various depictions of Egypt's famous queen Cleopatra, from Shaw to Shakespeare to Wilder, with Tony winner Christine Baranski taking on the role of Cleopatra. Journalist Rebecca Traister also participates.

The final Public Forum of 2015, on December 7, will be a return engagement of Thornton Wilder's The Long Christmas Dinner, hosted by Wilder's nephew and literary executor, Tappan Wilder.
