The Broadway revival of Children of a Lesser God will host talkbacks with the cast after tonight's performance and tomorrow's matinee and evening performances at Studio 54. Coproducer Nyle DiMarco will moderate tonight's talkback, and NPR host Celeste Headlee will moderate tomorrow's two talkback sessions.
Directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon, the production is led by film and television star Joshua Jackson and breakout star Lauren Ridloff, who earned her first Tony nomination for the production. They are joined by Emmy and Golden Globe winner Anthony Edwards, Drama Desk nominee Kecia Lewis, Julee Cerda, Treshelle Edmond, and John McGinty.
The play is described as follows: "One of the most indelible love stories of the modern age, Children of a Lesser God brings to life the passionate and personal connection between a teacher at a school for the deaf (Jackson) and the remarkable woman (Ridloff) he meets there." The drama debuted on Broadway in 1980, earning the Tony Award for Best Play. This revival will play its final performance on Sunday, May 27.
