Hanna Cheek, Cara Jeiven, Jimmie Marlowe, Tobi Parks and Kevin Townley will star in Goodbar, a collaboration between downtown theater company, Waterwell, and NYC rock band, Bambï. As previously reported, the show will be presented as part of SummerStage, with performances at East River Park in Manhattan, August 20-22 at 8pm. Arian Moayed will direct.
Based on the iconic 1970’s film, Looking for Mr. Goodbar, as well as the novel by Judith Rossner, the piece aims to explore the timeless themes of sexuality, independence and persona as seen refracted through a disco ball.
The creative team will include Nick Benacerraf (scenic designer), Adam Frank (lighting designer), Erik Bergrin (costume designer), and Alex Koch (video designer).
