Cast of Broadway's The Children Meet the Press

The Royal Court Theatre's production of Lucy Kirkwood's new drama The Children is set to make its American debut in Broadway's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre after a successful London run last winter. Taking a break from rehearsals, the cast took the time to meet the press ahead of performances beginning November 28. Opening night is set for December 14.

The work follows a pair of retired scientists who are visited by an old friend for a shocking reason as the world outside is torn apart by a nuclear disaster. Original London cast members Francesca Annis, Ron Cook, and Deborah Findlay star. James Macdonald directs.

The production features scenic and costume design by Miriam Buether, lighting by Peter Mumford, and sound by Max Pappenheim.
