Broadway veterans Amelia Campbell and Jack Davidson and Queer as Folk star Scott Lowell have been added to the line-up of this year’s Berkshire Theatre Festival.
Davidson will play Dr. Hamitlon Adams in Tina Howe’s Coastal Disturbances opposite Annie Parisse and Jeremy Davidson, July 11-29. His many Broadway credits include Glengarry Glen Ross, The Price, and Morning’s at Seven. He was also a member of Circle Repertory Company for 20 years.
Campbell will replace previously announced star Robin Weigert as Hannah Jelkes in Tennesee Williams’ The Night of the Iguana, August 1-12. The production, to be directed by Anders Cato, will also star Linda Hamilton, Aya Cash, Garrett Dillahunt, Sam Kitchin, Charlotte Meier, and Bill Swan. Campbell was a Tony Award nominee for Our Country’s Good and was recently seen Off-Broadway in Tryst.
Lowell, who played Ted Schmidt on the Showtime series, will play Scoop Rosenbaum in Wendy Wasserstein’s The Heidi Chronicles, opposite Kate Jennings Grant, August 15-September 2. His regional theater credits include Present Laughter, The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, and Picasso at the Lapin Agile.
