Buyer & Cellar, the acclaimed one-man show that has been playing at the 99-seat Rattlestick Playwrights Theater since opening on April 3, has announced that rather than closing when it ends its run on May 12, the show will move to the larger Barrow Street Theater beginning June 18. According to the New York Times, producers are hoping for an open-ended run.

The play is the story of Alex More, a struggling L.A. actor who ends up as sort-of assistant to megastar Barbra Streisand. It is written by Jonathan Tolins and directed by Stephen Brackett.

Michael Urie has previously appeared off-Broadway on multiple occasions, in shows including The Cherry Orchard, Angels in America, and The Temperamentals, for which he won a Lucille Lortel Award for Best Leading Actor. On Broadway, he has been seen in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Urie is perhaps best known for his role as Marc St. James on ABC’s Ugly Betty.
