Broadway's An American in Paris Hits Milestone 100th Performance

The Broadway production of An American in Paris celebrated its 100th performance with a very special giveaway: one lucky audience member received a free trip to the City of Light, courtesy of MasterCard. The winner, Brooklyn resident Richard Dietz, joined stars Robert Fairchild, Leanne Cope, Brandon Uranowitz, Max von Essen, Jill Paice, and Veanne Cox on stage during the curtain call to collect his prize.

After the show, the stars gathered backstage to toast their milestone occasion with an Eiffel Tower-shaped cake from the bakery Cute as Cake. Check out TheaterMania's photos from the event in the gallery below.

Winner of four 2015 Tony Awards, An American in Paris is directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon. Inspired by the Academy Award-winning film, the musical features music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin and a book by Craig Lucas. The story follows a young American soldier and a beautiful French girl in a "timeless story of love in a city rebuilding from the heartbreak of World War II." The production officially opened April 12 at the Palace Theatre.
