The event raises funds for the charity organization A Is For.
The reproductive rights advocacy organization A Is For held its third annual Broadway Acts for Women karaoke event last night, Sunday, May 7, at Feinstein's/54 Below.
Hosted by Saturday Night Live's Cecily Strong, the event featured performances by Martha Plimpton (The Real O'Neals), Brian d'Arcy James (Hamilton), Keith Carradine (Hands on a Hardbody), Ariana DeBose (A Bronx Tale — The Musical), Michael Cerveris (Fun Home), and more. Audience members were able to bid on their favorite Broadway stars singing the song of their choice, accompanied by auction and raffle items. Dan Lipton led the A Is For house band as the evening's music director.
Founded in 2012, A Is For is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing women's reproductive rights and ending the stigma against abortion care.
