Bradley Dean, Mamie Parris, and More to Star in Life After

Britta Johnson’s new musical will makes its American premiere in this production, directed by Barry Edelstein.

The Old Globe has announced the cast and creative team for Life After. Barry Edelstein will direct the American premiere of this new musical featuring book, music, and lyrics by Britta Johnson. It will run March 22-April 28 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe, with opening night set for Friday, March 29.

The company includes Bradley Dean (Dear Evan Hansen), Sophie Hearn (Nickel Mines), Charlotte Maltby (Starting Here, Starting Now), Livvy Marcus (Hair), Mamie Parris (Wicked), Dan'yelle Williamson (Memphis) as Ms. Hopkins, and ensemble members Ximone Rose, Mackenzie Warren, Charlotte Mary Wen, Lance Arthur Smith, and Emma Stratton.

The creative team includes Ann Yee (choreography, Neil Patel (scenic design), Linda Cho (costume design), Japhy Weideman (lighting design), Ken Travis (sound design), Sven Ortel (projection design), Lynne Shankel (music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations, and Chris Kong (music director).
