Robert O'Hara's new play Bootycandy opened at Playwrights Horizons on Wednesday, September 10. In the play, Sutter (played by Phillip James Brannon) takes an odyssey through his childhood, told through sketches that relate the experience of growing up gay and black in America. Performing with Brannon are Jessica Frances Dukes, Jesse Pennington, Benja Kay Thomas, and Lance Coadie Williams.
