Tony nominee Daniel Breaker (Passing Strange), who is currently starring in The Book of Mormon, will return to Joe's Pub on March 23. The concert event is titled Down and Out.

Down and Out explores the joys and struggles of modern life with witty storytelling and a mix of songs from standards to blues to funk. It is described as "dry, soulful, broken, and proud." Special guests will include Amber Renee Gray (An Octoroon) and Jacob Ming-Trent (Hands on a Hardbody).

Breaker will be backed by a band including Passing Strange players Jon Spurneyand Christian Cassan along with Cody Owen Stine, Jeremy Chatzky, Sean Nowell, and Ron McBee.

In addition to Passing Strange and The Book of Mormon, Daniel Breaker's Broadway credits include The Performers and Shrek The Musical.
