Ben Platt, Dear Evan Hansen Receive Drama League Awards

Winners of the 83rd Annual Drama League Awards have been announced. The honors were presented in a May 19 ceremony hosted by Audra McDonald and Will Swenson at the Marriott Marquis Hotel.

At the ceremony, Hello, Dolly! star Bette Midler received the Distinguished Achievement in Musical Theater Award, Bill Berloni received the Unique Contribution to the Theater Award, and Dear Evan Hansen director Michael Greif received the Founders Award for Excellence in Directing.
