Beautiful: The Carole King Musical to Perform on Dancing With the Stars

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical will perform live on the October 1 episode of ABC's Dancing With the Stars. The cast of Beautiful, led by North American tour star Sarah Bockel, will perform "Natural Woman" for contestants Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber.

With a book by Douglas McGrath and songs from the catalogue of Gerry Goffin, Carole King, Barry Mann, and Cynthia Weil, Beautiful officially opened at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on January 12, 2014. The show follows the life and career of singer-songwriter King and colleagues Goffin, Mann, and Weil, and features songs including "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," "One Fine Day," and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman." The creative team of Beautiful also includes Derek McLane (set design), Alejo Vietti (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), Brian Ronan (sound design), Charles G. LaPointe (wig and hair design), and Steve Sidwell (orchestrations and music arrangements).
