Six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will perform at Steppenwolf Theatre as a part of the LookOut Series on Monday, May 22. McDonald will be joined onstage by Sirius/XM Radio host and pianist Seth Rudetsky (Disaster!). The one-night concert will also include a special guest appearance by McDonald’s husband, Will Swenson, the Tony-nominated star of Hair and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, as well as the next Earl in Broadway's Waitress.

The format of the evening will be a blend of songs from McDonald's musical-theater repertoire and behind-the-scenes stories, prompted by Rudetsky from behind the piano. Beginning at 6:30pm, the show will be held in Steppenwolf’s Downstairs Theatre.

McDonald holds the record for most Best Performance Tonys in history, and she is the only person to win all four acting categories. She earned the accolades for her performances in Carousel, Master Class, Ragtime, A Raisin in the Sun, The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess, and Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill. She was last seen on Broadway as Lottie Gee in George C. Wolfe's Shuffle Along, or the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed. McDonald will reprise her role as Billie Holiday in Lady Day on London's West End in June.
