LES FULANES Theatre Company from Barcelona, Spain and Dance Mission Theater will present Angelina Llongueras’ solo show, Phoolan Is All of Us: In Memory of Phoolan Devi, performed in English and Catalan, with additional texts from Arundathi Roy and Phoolan Devi. The production, at Dance Mission Theater, will run October 10-12. Raquel Capdet directs.
This one-woman show is conceived as an homage to Phoolan Devi, an Indian woman of a low caste, who was a bandit, a member of Parliament and a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize who was murdered in 2001.
Llongueras is a Catalonian actor, playwright, director and theater researcher with more than twenty years experience in the scenic arts.
